Question on Dim Sum Restaurant in City Hall

Are there two large dim sum restaurants in the City Hall building on Hong Kong Island? Some travel guides make reference to a Maxims restaurant, while others refer to City Hall restaurant. Are they the same? Thank you.

Question on Dim Sum Restaurant in City Hall

they are one and the same. The restaurant is located in City Hall and run by Maxim

Question on Dim Sum Restaurant in City Hall

There are 2 restaurants in City Hall %26amp; a cafe, only one is dim sum, it is called Mixam%26#39;s Palace, I think it was on the 2nd floor.

We ate there is January, very nice. Doesn%26#39;t open until 11 week days. Still have trolley service and nice views of the harbour.

Pat

oops,

Maxims Palace not Mixams Palace :-)

is Maxim%26#39;s Palace on the 2nd or 3rd floor? cuz i read from some other places that it%26#39;s on 3/F.

Maybe due to different floor numbering. Anyway, it is the higher one.

Here you go:

We had a coffee at the cafe while waiting for Maxims Palace to open, it was very nice.

It does say here, 2nd floor but I really can%26#39;t remember, you can%26#39;t miss it though.

There is only one Maxim%26#39;s Chinese at City Hall. It is at the higher floor. Just take the elevator to the top floor possible. City Hall is not very large so you can%26#39;t miss it.

Note that the place gets quite crowded so be sure to get there early. They do not accept reservations. Food-wise, it%26#39;s only so-so, but you do get the push-cart experience (not too many left these days) and nice harbor view.

Thanks everyone for the information. We plan on eating at the restaurant while in Hong Kong next month.
