Airport Limousine

Hi

Is it worth taking a limousine at 500HKD to the Harbour Plaza?

Airport Limousine

A taxi would be around $350 and are easily available at the airport. Is the extra 150 bucks worth it? Well that%26#39;s your call really.

Airport Limousine

500 is quite steep, even the small business limo wouldn%26#39;t cost that much!

If the limousine is a luxurious car, and someone is going to wait for you with your name on the card when you exit, and no wait at all.. just hop in, and off you go... then I guess so.

But with a taxi, it is still comfortable, most are Toyota or Nissans, but some are not ';pleasant'; smelling, some taxi drivers don%26#39;t speak English, and and some drives like a maniac..... and you might have to wait in line for a taxi. You might save $ 150 under normal traffic conditions.

I was recently in Taipei, and I booked Hotel Limousine, but I knew I was paying a lot more than if I hailed a taxi off the airport queue... but it was totally worth it, the convenience, no wait, and didn%26#39;t have to worry about getting to the hotel, just sat back, enjoyed the ride and the scenery, AND talked a little with the driver about local sights and food!

Is it worth it? Really a personal opinion.

We booked the limo from the airport to Metropark Causeway Bay and back last month.

e were 3 adults with 6 pieces of luggage, it would not have all fitted in a taxi and I can%26#39;t imagine dragging it on the MTR or bus.

It was effortless, they were waiting when we got off the plane (although we were more than 30 minutes late) and collected us on time from the hotel for our flight home.

For 3 people it is well worth it and we would do it again.

Thanks 5678,

This is such a good use of this forum. Giving a list of operators is clearly not advertising, and it%26#39;s really helpful to have some guidance so that we don%26#39;t get ripped off.

I%26#39;ve just called Kwok from Thailand and hopefully he%26#39;ll pick us up at Hong Kong airport later today. I%26#39;ll report back on the cost and experience later.

kwok, billy, dicky are not related to me in anyway. i have used their services several times specially when i have folks in town.

Hi 5678,

Great recommendation! Kwok ws there to collect us last night at the airport, with a name sign, as we came out into Arrival Hall B. He took charge of the luggage and we were soon in his 4-seater Mercedes van (with loads of luggage space for our 6 bags).

His rates are very good - half what I%26#39;d paid on the last trip, for a hotel limo. I%26#39;ve booked him again to take us back to the airport. He speaks good English and seem a very nice guy too. He%26#39;s a safe and considerate driver.

700HKD both ways. 350 HKD one way.

Having telephoned Kwok from Thailand, I also sent him an email (see above). Ideally he%26#39;d appreciate 48 Hrs notice, but Kwok can also respond very quickly too, as he proved with us.

Hey Notfes53, that is great to hear. Might just book him myself, leaving me more money for shopping!!!

no worries!!

i forget to mention that one of the advantages of taking the car transfer from airport to the city is that the route you will be passing by is through the Tsing Ma bridge - one of the world%26#39;s largest suspension bridge.

kids specially would love the experience of being on the bridge.

the route also would go in tunnel/s through the mountain - that again is something kids enjoy (in my experience)
