Yellow Dust / stroller accessibility

Hi all,

we%26#39;re planning a trip to Beijing with 2 small children for next week and I was wondering what the air quality is like these days. I know it%26#39;s usually pretty bad, but do you have a lot of yellow dust in the air these days?

Also, does some one know whether the great wall is stroller accessible? If yes, then where? Or should we rather bring a back carrier?

Thank You!

Definitely back carrier.

Hi there

We went to Mutianyu last week. If you walk to the right then it has steep steps but to the left was just a paved slope. Oh - but you have to get up to the start either by scary ski lift type cable cars or a long walk!

Have fun whichever bit you decide to visit.

Yellow dust - only 1 sand storm so far a week ago. Not a speck of yellow dust in the past few days. Just the usual level of cig smoke and traffic pollution. It%26#39;s really not that bad unless you have severe asthma

We were in BJ from the 22 to the 28th. Mar 22 hazy and no sun. Mar 23 -27, sunny clear blue skies and about 60-65 F. Mar 28, although we left for the airport early the weather looked to be similar to the 22nd. We were very fortunate for the good weather. It was a cool in the evening and you may still need a sweatshirt or jacket when walking outdoors during the day (we%26#39;re from So Calif). There wasn%26#39;t any sign of yellow dust that I saw when we were there.
