I%26#39;ve seen a couple stories on U.S. television which profile artists in Shenzhen who duplicate art masterpieces (e.g., Picassos). I would like to get a painting done as a gift for Christmas. Any recommendations on a factory/artist in Shenzhen?
Thanks in advance!

They also sell art books and art supplies.I am sure that one of the local experts can give you some more information.
Duplicating Art Masterpieces in Shenzhen
I had heard about Dafen in some research I had done on the Internet, and had found some phone numbers and email addresses of various places. However, I wanted to see if I could contact someone ahead of time, and perhaps place my order now so I could pick up when I get there. Any contacts that you have found? Thanks!

Do they not sell these at Lohou Commercial Center?
After a bit of research, I found someone in Shenzhen whose art studio does this type of work. I actually commissioned a famous painting from him for an Xmas present, and his studio did an amazing job. You can see differences, but it was well worth it. The price is shockingly below what you could even imagine. If anyone needs it, email me, and I%26#39;ll forward his contact information.
I just returned from Shenzhen - LoWu shopping center. The last time I was there (August of 2007) I did not see any painting. This time, I saw the painting for sale at LoWu. Several people I traveled with bought them. The booth is on the third or forth floor near the elevators.
Dafen is actually a district in Shenzhen. It is referred to as a village in ther abstract sense. I was there 2 weeks ago. It is roughly 10 blocks by 10 blocks. Just take a taxi there. The hotel doorman will know about it.
