Cheap HK hotel in Oct

Hi! My 3 friends and i are in our early 20s, are planning to be in HK during early Oct. Will the weather be too hot? And will there be any end of summer sales during that time?

We%26#39;re also looking for an affordable place to stay for 2-3nites. Our main priorities are to shop around the Kowloon %26amp; Mongkok.

As we%26#39;re all girls, hopefully someone can recommend an affordable place which has good security? Our budget is about $1000 HKD (of course, the cheaper the better :P).

I tried looking online but they usually provide rates for 2person only. Will all of us be able to squeeze into one room?

I%26#39;ve found that USA Hostel%26#39;s rates are very attractive, and they have a 210sq feet quadraple room. But can anyone give any comments? Especially concerning the security around the area.

Thanks!

Chelsea.

I haven%26#39;t stayed at the USA Hostel, so I don%26#39;t know too much about it. You can look below at a list I usually give to people looking for a budget place to stay. This list includes places in both Kowloon and Hong Kong Island:

----------------------------------

Here are some hostel/guesthouse ideas, most of which I have heard good reviews about and/or stayed at before. You will also want to look in the Hong Kong Hotels and Accomodations section of TripAdvisor (look on your upper left hand side for the link). When at that page, click on the tabs (at the top of the page) for B%26amp;B%26#39;s/Inns and Specialty Lodging for reviews of hostels/guesthouses.

There are also some hotels that are not as expensive as you may think and can be of decent quality. You can take a look at the following. Prices can vary greatly though, depending on when you are staying. For prices, take a look at the hotels%26#39; website for prices as well as discount hotel websites such as www.hotelclub.com, www.asiatravel.com, www.asiarooms.com, www.agoda.com, www.booking.com, etc. Note that if you look at prices on a discount hotel website, make sure you find out if the price listed is inclusive of all taxes and fees or not. There is a total of 13% taxes and fess for hotel rooms in Hong Kong. Some of the discount hotel websites will tell you in the beginning that their prices are inclusive of these taxes and fees - but many will not present these additional taxes and fees to you until you are in the booking process (or have completed booking). So keep that in mind:

Weather will still be warm.

USA Hostel not a great place to stay - certainly not worth the money you pay.

Hong Kong is a safe place.

The places above are worth looking at.

Hotel Benito is another option.

Wow! Thanks so much for the recommendations!

Will definitely go through them slowly soon.

Just wondering, since we have 4persons, do we need to get 2rooms? I noticed that some hotels included the terms that it%26#39;ll be extra $xxx for every extra person, but what about those that do not mention it? Can we all squeeze into ONE room?

Chelsea.

Check out the BP International , which can offer you a quad bunk bedroom , so the 4 of you an stay in the same room.
