hi

i amgoing to be in hk 3 day and 2 day in macau.would a map be enough to go around town? do i have to print out all the bus route to take it with me?what is the best way to macau from monkow area?

i got hold of a tourist map at the Macau airport which includes local bus routes and numbers, so quite easy to navigate. should also be available at the ferry terminal.

Yes, these free, tri-lingual maps are also available at the ferry terminal and at the border crossing from Zhuhai. They are updated frequently. There is also a free monthly info-mag, brochures about various attractions, and even the Macau Guidebook, all free of charge.

Best way from Mong Kok to Macau is to take either a bus direct to China Ferry Terminal or catch MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui station, take the Kowloon Park exit, and walk across the park, past the flamingo pond and across the footbridge to China Ferry Terminal. You need to go to the First Ferry ticket counter.

If going from HK island you can go to Sheung Wan MTR station, and the ferry terminal es directly above.

I find the map provided by the Macau tourism board very useful.However, a word of caution. Was there 2 weeks back..many of the bus routes has just been changed..better check with the locals ..waited 2 1/2 hrs for a bus that never came altho it was listed at the bus stop!!!
