Beijing accommodations

I will be in Beijing for two months: May and June 2008. I%26#39;m looking for a clean and nice room and board, guest house, hostel or hotel with someone who can speak English or French because I don%26#39;t speak Chinese at all but willing to learn it. My budget is about 20$US per day. All advices about anything relating to staying in Beijing are very welcome.

20$US seems impossible to find a private room to live in Beijing.

I think 50$US is more properly

Downtown Backpackers (http://www.backpackingchina.com) would fit the bill, though I don%26#39;t know if their prices would rise by then.

For a hostel or hotel 20 $ would be difficult. My brother in law have a house near subway station. It would meet your requirement. However, he do not speak English. I speak English and French.

The house of my brother in law is located on the west gate of Communication University of China. The subway station is named after this university. You can make a full use of the facilities in the campus, such as tennis court, swimming pool, cafe, supermarket, internet cafe.All these facility is accessable by walk including the subway station. The garden in the campus is good place to rest. Moreover, you can save lots of money.
