Transport from Windows on the Wolrd to Kowloon

We will be staying at the Intercontinental - near Windows on the World I believe and going to Kowloon the next day. What would be the easiest way of getting there? We are a pary of myself, a 6 year old and a 70 plus year old with luggage so ease and safety is of prime importance. We were thinking of the ferry but no idea if that is viable. Also how long would your suggestions take on a Friday afternoon. Many thanks . Jennie

Transport from Windows on the Wolrd to Kowloon

The usual (cheapest) way would be to take the MTR from WoW to Shenzhen Station/LuoHu; walk across the border and take the HK MTR (formerly called KCR) to Kowloon.

With luggage you should take a taxi to LuoHu and when you get to the HK side take first class seats on the MTR.

Finally you could take a taxi to Shekou and a ferry to HK. They go roughly every 30 min to one hour but only about 1/4 go to Kowloon. Try here for the schedule: http://www.rayto.com/schedule2.htm
