My friend and I are both flying into Shanghai the same day, but me at 1.30 pm and him at 11 pm. I think we%26#39;ll only have 2 days in Shanghai so we probably won%26#39;t have time to do a day trip together. I%26#39;ve heard about Hangzhou and Xitang...is it possible in a half day? Or are there any other water towns possible in a half day? Thanks so much!
1/2 day trip from ShanghaiTongli watertown is 80km from shanghai, 2 buses from shanghai gymnasium at 7:45 and 9:00 in the morning.
Zhouzhuang watertown is 60km from shanghai, 1.5 hours from shanghai to zhouzhuang.
buses from shanghai gymnasium at 7:00, 9:05, 9:45, 12:10, back to shanghai at 14:30, 16:30.
1/2 day trip from ShanghaiZhou zhuang n Tongli r very nice water town but half day is too short. Also Hangzhou i think for half a day its too much of a hurry that u wont be able to appreciate the West lake cruise ,Feilaifeng etc,.Nearer Watertown(Shanghai owned watertownlike Zhujiajiao is possible.
No, you%26#39;re being way too optimistic. I presume neither of you is able to teleport.
If you have only 2 days, please just stay in Shanghai.
The nearest ';water village'; would be Zhujiajiao. Qibao is even nearer but that%26#39;s an extremely poor excuse.
Due to traffic it can take 1.5hrs just to get out of the city (and back again) so a half day tour is not really viable. There%26#39;s enough to do in the city.
Hi DIY trip in Shanghai is extremely enjoyable. Its one of the biggest city in the world n i think 2 days is even hardly sufficient time to explore n know Shanghai well....much less about nearby cities but unless u had been to Shanghai several times n want to skip it,then of course u can consider Hang zhou,or Xitang but u need at least a full day tour.Half day is definitely impossible.
