Arriving in Guangzhou airport, you have to make your way to the Guangzhou East Railway Station located in the Tianhe district. South east of the airport.

From here, you will be able to catch the inter-city train from Guangzhou to Hung Hom Station in Hong Kong. Takes around 2 - 2.5 hours.

Prices around HK$190 and several trains per day.
