harbour plaza or langham place

Hi

My girlfriend and i are coming to hong kong for three nights and are not sure weather to book at the harbour plaza suite or the langham place suite. Which would you recommend?

harbour plaza or langham place

The Langham places suites are on Offer at the moment for $2600 a night hong kong dollars. ( I had to pay 拢3000 though).

You get access to a 24 hour lounge with serves premium drinks all day ( like champagne and bombay saphire gin) plus breakfast , tea snacks , sandwiches and cakes.

IMO the Langham place is a true 5 star hotel.

harbour plaza or langham place

No doubt here, LANGHAM PLACE. The harbour plaza is far from everything, and has no access to the brilliant MTR system. Althought the hotel does operate a shuttle, one does not want to be tied into a schedule.

Although the harbour plaza is right on the waters edge, being in the hustle and bustle of Mongkok, makes a trip to Hong Kong special. Mong Kok today reminds me of TST 12yrs back.

I have not stayed at the harbour plaza, but have stayed at numerous Hong Kong hotels in various area%26#39;s over the past few years, and never at the same hotel twice. But then I stayed at the Langham Place last April, and have been back 3 times, and will be making it 4 times this coming Thursday.

I always get a club level room, and my last stay (and this coming stay) I spent in a Residence suite. The club lounge cant be beat anywhere in the world.

If you are getting the same or near prices for both hotels, go for Langham Place.

The area of Langham Place isn%26#39;t as ';quiet'; and ';peaceful'; as Harbour Plaza Hong Kong (Assuming that%26#39;s the one you are talking about).

I personally love the Harbour Plaza Hotel, beautiful, elegant, superb food, and nice quiet area.

However, there is no MTR access.

If you want luxury, and convenience, and hustle and bustle... then Langham Place is the one. It%26#39;s also more high tech in the rooms.

If you want elegance, don%26#39;t mind the location not having MTR (still very convenient for dining, and shopping in Whampoa area), and you prefer quieter area.... and getting a cheaper price than Langham Place, then go for HP.

Either hotel, beautiful and nice.

Furthermore, if you want a beautiful harbour view each morning and night.... then it has to be Harbour Plaza.

There%26#39;s no harbour view from Langham Place.

Look at the reviews on Tripadvisor, you get the best of all info, reviews, and photos. There are really good photos of Harbour Plaza Hotel on here.

some more points- sorry in pieces here...

Harbour Plaza%26#39;s rooms are bigger than Langham Place%26#39;s.

Langham Place- club floor has a nice CITY view. Not harbour view exactly, but it%26#39;s quite an interesting view in my opinion.

a good spa, and connected to an Unique shopping center, and it%26#39;s connected to the MTR station underneath.

I can%26#39;t imagine going to Hong Kong and not having a view of your beautiful harbour.

For us it was wonderful waking up to that site each day.

Langham Place of course.

Best prices at www.dertour.co.uk (starting for standard rooms w/o breakfast ca. 85 GBP, L-Floor suites ca. 130 GBP)

Note that the difference of the suite the executive rooms might be only : floor level, (excellent) buffet breakfast included - some L-floor rooms have NO difference in size of rooms (only higher price).

Excellent Spa on roof top is included for all guests!!!

We had a harbour view from our room in Langham Place - interrupted by a couple of buildings but it was a panoramic view just the same. Also, the Chuan spa has a meditation room that has excellent harbour views.

There are photos from other TA forum members posted under Langham Places%26#39; reviews.... you can see what kind of a harbourview one can get from Langham Place.

However, in my opinion, the harbour views from LP is more of a ';see the water'; view, but not exactly what I call a ';harbourview';.
