The Westin

Hi all,

I will be in Macau for 3 nights/4 days. I am interested in cultural sight seeings and not much into gambling. I have read a little bit on Macau. I am thinking of staying at the Westin. Any opinions?

I have read about Westin on TA but cannot really decide if this place is too far from the ';cultural'; sight seeing. Many thanks.

The Westin

Hi,stayed here for the Macau Golf Open,as the golf course is virtually out by the doorstep.

Located in the quieter part of Macau,in Coloane.A true resort hotel, and away from casinos.Great room amenities and also impeccable service.

You are also close to a famed restaurant-Fernando%26#39;s and also famed egg tart-Lord Stow-well food is also cultural, but apart from seeing, and smelling,is of course tasting it-and what a better way through a person heart,is by the stomach-you will enjoy your stay in Coloane.

Then, allocate day to Taipa for the Taipa Musuem %26amp; Cun Ha street, and a day into Macau Peninsula.

Being small, its ';packages'; are all within easy reach.

The Westin

The Westin is as far as it is possible to get in Macau from the ';city centre';. But Macau is so small it is only 15-20 min by taxi %26amp; about 30 min by bus. I%26#39;d love to stay there!!

I once had a job in Macau, one of the perks of which was membership of the Westin club - very nice :-) the hotel shuttle bus service is a very convenient way of getting into town if you don%26#39;t want to spend MOP80 on the taxi fare. Or you could walk along Hac Sa beach to the public bus terminus at the other end and catch one of those buses.
