Hi,

I%26#39;m only going to be in Hong Kong for two days so what would be the best things to do in this time?

Many thanks

go to discover hong kong website and look over attractions and things to do.

it%26#39;s difficult for us to answer your q because we do not know what your interests are.

the %26#39;best%26#39; sights for us might not be %26#39;best%26#39; for you so as suggested, try browsing the discoverhongkong.com site to get a glimpse of the famous sights in HK.

my personal picks: victoria peak, causeway bay/tsim sha tsui districts (no particular sight).

We went last May/June and we enjoyed Hong Kong immensely. The Stanley area as good markets and nice places to eat on the water. Also we did a walking tour with a local guide and spent most of the time on Hong Kong Island, it was great, really saw heaps. The tram up to the Peak is worth doing, great views if not too smogy or cloudy. Also go down to the harbour at night to see the light show, very well done. We stayed in Kowloon and just enjoyed walking the back streets to see what was going on. But most of all (if you are a female) just dont miss out on going to Shenszen by train (35mins) for very cheap shopping, (the best ever) you need a whole day though! Hong Kong is such a great stopover city.

In response to the last post... you said that you stayed in Kowloon but spent most of your time on HK Island. If you were to return would you stay on HK island this time. Please tell me more about this shopping area. Is it outlets and is it really that great?

We are actually going again this May and we are staying again at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile, Kowloon as we loved the hotel, we stayed on the executive level and such good value for money and we found it central for the Temple st %26amp; ladies markets and easy to get to for everything else and I suppose when you know somewhere and feel familiar with it you sometimes stay at the same place for that reason. But when you think about it there is a lot to see on Hong Kong Island so maybe in hindsight it would have been easier to stay there but really it is only a ferry ride across the harbour and that is nice too.

The shopping in shenszen is really cheap and very good quality. It is in china actually but only 35mins by train, easy as to get to. It is very intense, people at you all the time, you get off the train and walk through customs and you are in the shopping centre, 5 stories of little shops and it is great, the best I have been to. I got some great copied designer bags (with even authenticity cert. inside bag)and heaps of shoes, Ralph Lauren clothes, great kids clothes too (osh cosh). Lots of hong kong people go there for their shopping, great day!

Thank you for the prompt response, I appreciate it.

Thanks for your help guys
