Tour of China:advice on Tour Operators

Hi

I%26#39;m looking for a bit of advice, please.

We hope to book a tour of China towards the end of this year, to definitely include Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Yangtze Cruise and Guilin.

After spending ages looking through websites, I%26#39;ve found the following companies who offer tours that seem to suit our requirements - I%26#39;m looking for a UK based company:

Voyages Jules Verne

Archers Direct

CTS Horizons

China Tours

China Holidays

Travelsphere

Cultural Tours

Emperor Tours

Oriental Travel

Has anyone had experience of any of these companies?

I%26#39;ve not included the obvious ones like Kuoni or Hayes %26amp; Jarvis but would also be grateful for any feedback on tours through China by any of the %26#39;big%26#39; companies.

Thanks

Polly

Tour of China:advice on Tour Operators

Hi,

We went with Archers 2 years ago on the China and Middle Kingdom Tour it was fantastic, but you do need to have a reasonable level of fitness.

For you do a fair amount of walking and climbing up the great wall can be hard.

For value for money it is the best and the guide was excellent.

If I had any complaint it would be they try and fit to much in, but if you go that far you want to see as much as you can.

And you can rest up on the Yangtze Cruise at the end of the tour.

Food breakfasts were english/ american/chinese.

You need to love chinese food for you get two chinese banquets every day
