What is to see in Shanghai??

Hi, could someone tell me if it is worth going to Shanghai or will it be similar to Beijing.?

I am trying to cut down the costs and Shanghai looks to be the only place i can think of missing out if any. Or should i just bite my tongue and go????

Also I am staying in Hong Kong for 4 nights, is it worth 5 nights??? and i am stuck between two hotels Langham, or Shangri La in Hong Kong (which is a lot more expensive but on the harbour)???

Shanghai and Beijing are quite different. Beijing is the capital while Shanghai is the financial center (think New York). The archcitecture is definitely more interesting in Shanghai but there are more cultutal sites in Beijing.

I think you are spending a lot of time in HK.

As far as actual sites and ';tourist attractions';, there is much more to see in Beijing. Shanghai just doesn%26#39;t have too much of that.
