What are the best days of the week for day trips to Shenzhen?

We went on a Monday and it was crazy but i suspect it would be crazy on all days. I would aviod the weekends.

The coming Friday (Apr-4) is Ching Ming Festival, which is the traditional day of paying respect to ancestors. It%26#39;s a public holiday in Hong Kong, and many will travel into Mainland. So the border crossings are going to be extra busy.

because Geoff is probably wondering how busy it gets DEPARTING from HK to shenzhen. I can see his reason to post here.

I think EVERYDAY is busy to shenzhen, but weekends are particularly bad, and avoid rush hours on weekdays.
